Meta has teamed up with Shopee to revolutionize in-app shopping experiences, bridging Facebook's social platform with Shopee's e-commerce infrastructure. The collaboration introduces tools enabling direct product purchases from Facebook posts, Reels, and Live sessions—accelerating the convergence of social media and retail.
Shopee becomes the inaugural participant in Meta's Facebook Affiliate Partnerships program, granting creators the ability to tag products linked to Shopee's checkout system. Live shopping pilots will further blur the lines between content and commerce, allowing real-time purchases during broadcasts.
